“Bridge” – Door Mounting Lifter for controlled lifting of escutcheons on closed doors
The “Bridge” door mounting lifter is designed to gently and evenly lift door handle plates away from the door leaf. The resulting gap allows insertion of a suitable square bolt knife, which engages the spindle (follower) and activates it by applying slight downward pressure. If necessary, security escutcheons can also be completely torn off in emergency situations.
This opening technique is especially useful when conventional latch wire tools cannot be applied due to tight tolerances or double rebate profiles.
The lightweight yet extremely durable aluminum construction provides excellent stability. Two lifting screws apply even pressure, while the special trapezoidal thread allows smooth and efficient operation.
Key features:
- High-strength aluminum – lightweight yet highly durable
- Extremely robust and low-maintenance construction
- Two lifting screws for even movement
- Trapezoidal thread for smooth and controlled tightening
- Millimeter markings for fast square bolt size identification
- Includes 8 mm and 10 mm square bolt knives
Usage note:
This technique is generally only suitable for escutcheons that are not screwed together. Always lift carefully to avoid leaving pressure marks on the door surface. A 17 mm wrench is required to operate the lifting screws.
